Registered Nurse - Catheterization Lab - Pike Road, AL

Desired Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in a Cath Lab setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures and patient monitoring
• Proficiency with electronic health records and Cath Lab equipment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate well in multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stenting, and other interventional procedures
• Assist physicians during procedures by handling equipment, administering medications, and monitoring patient status
• Prepare patients physically and emotionally for procedures, offering education and support to reduce anxiety
• Perform and document patient assessments before, during, and after procedures
• Monitor and respond rapidly to patient needs or emergencies within the Cath Lab
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe operating environment, adhering to infection control protocols
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and smooth workflow
