A healthcare facility in Port Lavaca, TX, is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Cath Lab procedures to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on delivering expert nursing care during invasive cardiac procedures, maintaining patient safety, and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care during invasive cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Manage and assess patient status throughout procedures with a focus on patient safety
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and other healthcare personnel
  • Utilize EMR systems including MedHost and MacLab for clinical documentation
  • Maintain patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1 for optimum individualized care
  • Perform duties aligned with the nursing process and facility protocols

Qualifications & Experience

  • Registered Nurse with RCIS certification
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ Cath Lab nursing experience
  • Ability to provide required documentation including home address and SSN upon submission
  • Must reside greater than 50 miles from the facility

Schedule

  • Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Call every other week (7 days)
  • No 48-hour call option or block scheduling
  • Maximum return to office (RTO) 3 days
