Key Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license, eligible to practice in Texas
  • Minimum of one year Cath Lab nursing experience
  • Proficient in cardiac monitoring, pre- and post-procedure patient care, and circulating/scrubbing during catheterizations
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization
  • Assist physicians during cardiac procedures, including angioplasties and stenting
  • Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions
  • Ensure procedural compliance with hospital protocols and patient safety standards
  • Accurately document all care and patient responses in electronic health records
  • Educate patients and their families about procedures, post-op care, and recovery
