Clinically, this Cath Lab role offers exposure to a well-organized department employing diverse workplace practices, with steady support from a collaborative team—Nurse Managers, Charge RNs, RTs, hospitalists, intensivists, NPs, fellows, and cardiologists all work together to ensure exceptional care. You’ll gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art technology, including Cerner EMR, Alaris IV Pumps, Omnicell, McKesson Hemodynamic System, and leading C-arm models from GE and Siemens.

Broaden your professional expertise as you work alongside established leaders, adapting to variable patient needs in a dynamic cardiac environment, and boost your resume by furthering your expertise in advanced cardiac procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 0700–1930 shifts
  • 1–2 weeknight call shifts per week
  • 1–2 call weekends per 6-week schedule (0700 Saturday–0700 Monday, 30-minute response time)
  • Schedule made in 6-week increments
  • Weekend and holiday call rotation based on need

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience
  • Greater than 1 year of ICU experience preferred, or 2–3 years of Cardiac Stepdown considered
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
  • RCIS or CI certification preferred but not required
  • Experience in monitoring and sedation
  • Previous travel experience required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized nursing care to predominantly adult patients in a 7-bed Cath Lab
  • Monitor patients and administer sedation as required
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to ensure positive patient outcomes
  • Adapt to floating assignments within University Hospital or the EP Lab as needed
  • Participate in on-call rotation and adapt to scheduling according to unit needs
