Experienced professionals in cardiac care have an opportunity to make a significant impact as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. This contract position calls for a dedicated RN with strong background in Cath Lab procedures and comprehensive patient care.

Key Details:

  • Schedule: 5 shifts/week, 8-hour days
  • Call Requirements: Monday–Friday 2:30pm–6:00am, Saturday/Sunday 6:00am–6:00am; 2 call days per week and 3 weekends in a 6-week period
  • Contract term: 13 weeks

What We’re Looking For:

  • Active RN license in Ohio
  • American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Demonstrated experience as an RN in a cardiac catheterization lab
  • Proficiency monitoring patients during invasive procedures
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively in urgent situations
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to interdisciplinary care

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
  • Monitor patient vital signs and condition before, during, and after catheterization
  • Assist physicians with all aspects of catheterization and related procedures
  • Prepare, operate, and ensure the cleanliness of all Cath Lab equipment
  • Maintain accurate patient records and reports as part of clinical documentation
  • Deliver post-procedure education for patients and their families, ensuring understanding of care instructions and potential symptoms
  • Adhere to strict safety, infection control, and quality improvement protocols
