Key Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted RN license
  • Recent experience in a Cath Lab or interventional cardiology setting
  • Strong assessment, IV initiation, and medication administration skills
  • Proficient in sterile technique and emergency response protocols
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare team members
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional communication and documentation capabilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and vascular intervention procedures
  • Monitor patient status throughout procedures, including hemodynamic and ECG monitoring
  • Administer medications and manage sedation as needed under physician supervision
  • Scrub, circulate, and assist with a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and ensure all equipment is sterile and functioning properly
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, aftercare, and follow-up instructions
  • Accurately document patient care, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
