Key Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- Recent experience in a Cath Lab or interventional cardiology setting
- Strong assessment, IV initiation, and medication administration skills
- Proficient in sterile technique and emergency response protocols
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare team members
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Detail-oriented with exceptional communication and documentation capabilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and vascular intervention procedures
- Monitor patient status throughout procedures, including hemodynamic and ECG monitoring
- Administer medications and manage sedation as needed under physician supervision
- Scrub, circulate, and assist with a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and ensure all equipment is sterile and functioning properly
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, aftercare, and follow-up instructions
- Accurately document patient care, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
