Registered Nurse - Catheterization Lab in Wetumpka, AL

An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in Cath Lab procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care in a dynamic hospital environment. Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Previous experience working in a Cath Lab strongly preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and intervention techniques
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary care teams
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab
• Prepare patients for procedures, including assessments and IV placement
• Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout procedures, responding promptly to changes
• Administer medications and assist with sedation as per protocols
• Scrub or circulate during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and other specialty procedures
• Provide post-procedure care, education, and support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold infection control standards
