Registered Nurse - CVICU (Cardiovascular ICU) in Breaux Bridge, LA

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Demonstrated experience in a CVICU or a comparable critical care setting
• Advanced knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac medications, and post-operative cardiac patient management
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Monitor cardiac and vascular intensive care patients, recognizing and responding swiftly to changes in condition
• Administer continuous intravenous medications, titrate vasoactive drips, and interpret complex cardiac rhythms
• Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals on treatment plans and patient care strategies
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes precisely in the electronic medical record
• Provide comprehensive patient and family education regarding cardiac care processes and recovery expectations
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols throughout shift
