(RN) Registered Nurse - CVICU | Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts

Advance your nursing career in a fast-paced cardiovascular intensive care setting as a skilled CVICU RN. This contract opportunity calls for a professional prepared to provide exceptional care for critically ill patients, while offering flexibility and exposure to both the Cardiovascular ICU and general ICU units.

Schedule/Hours:

• 36 hours per week
• Night shift: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday shifts
• Floating between ICU and CVICU as needed

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Recent, direct CVICU experience is required
• Broad knowledge of intensive care protocols and advanced cardiovascular therapies
• Strong clinical judgment and crisis management skills
• Comfortable with the expectation to float between ICU and CVICU settings based on facility needs
• Collaborative mindset and positive communication skills to work with multidisciplinary care teams

Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care for patients with complex cardiovascular and other ICU-level needs
• Monitor, assess, and respond to subtle changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, and maintain various invasive lines and drips
• Coordinate and communicate patient needs with medical providers and allied health professionals
• Document all care activities thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record
• Support patient families with timely updates and compassionate education
