Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a CVICU or Cardiac ICU setting
  • Proficiency in managing ventilators, invasive lines, cardiac drips, and post-operative cardiac surgery patients
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, technologically advanced unit

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive care to critically ill cardiac and post-cardiac surgical patients
  • Continuously assess, monitor, and interpret patient data to guide advanced interventions
  • Administer medication infusions, manage pain, titrate vasoactive agents, and support hemodynamics
  • Work closely with physicians and allied health professionals to develop and implement care plans
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for patients and their families during each stage of treatment
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold rigorous safety standards
