Step into a high-acuity environment where specialized cardiovascular critical care is the standard. This contract position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with strong CVICU skills, offering 12-hour night shifts (1845 - 0715) with a 36-hour work week. You’ll be scheduled every other weekend and are expected to work 75% of holidays. No on-call or call-back requirements are needed, and floating may occur within the designated regional group of facilities—travel time is compensated when floating between sites mid-shift.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license and current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum of 2 years’ recent critical care experience required; experience with resource teams preferred
  • Proficient in the management of vasoactive medications, surgical drains, chest tubes, ventilators, and CRRT
  • Skilled with invasive lines (arterial, PA catheters, transvenous pacemakers) and advanced devices (IABP, Impella preferred)
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing systems

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based, compassionate care to patients with complex cardiovascular diagnoses, including post-cardiac arrest, STEMI, and post-thoracic surgery
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient progress using advanced technology and critical thinking
  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team—24/7 intensivists, respiratory therapists, and an active IV/vascular access team
  • Float among regionally aligned facilities as patient care needs arise, staying within your scope of practice
