Schedule:

• Full-time
• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only)
• At least one year of critical care or CVICU experience preferred; new graduates considered
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Required attendance at New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire
• Dedicated completion of organization and unit-specific competency validations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive pediatric cardiac care using advanced nursing processes—assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments following set protocols, monitoring for efficacy and adverse effects
• Accurately document patient history, treatments, and progress
• Provide support, education, and resources to patients and families regarding complex psychosocial and cultural needs
• Delegate tasks and support colleagues to ensure optimal clinical outcomes
• Maintain compliance with department and hospital competency requirements, including annual verifications
