Advance your career by providing specialized critical care to some of the most complex patients as a Registered Nurse skilled in CVICU and ICU settings. This contract opportunity is designed for experienced professionals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are eager to make a direct impact on patient care in cardiac and critical care units.

  • Schedule: 36 hours per week
  • Shift: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
  • Every other weekend, with rotating holidays

Your ability to adapt, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and fluidly transition between CVICU and ICU assignments is essential. The ideal candidate demonstrates clinical excellence and compassion, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and patient comfort.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license and active registration
  • Minimum of one year recent CVICU nursing experience
  • Well-versed in ICU protocols and comfortable floating between units
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and assessment skills
  • Adept in electronic health record documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Calm under pressure, flexible, and professional

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive cardiac and critical care to patients, assessing needs and updating care plans accordingly
  • Monitor, interpret, and respond to complex cardiac and hemodynamic data
  • Administer medications, IV drips, and other interventions as prescribed
  • Support and educate patients’ families, providing updates and instruction as needed
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
  • Float between CVICU and ICU as assigned to meet patient care needs

This contract begins May 26 and offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive critical care environment. Competitive compensation is included at $115 per hour, plus a 5% premium.
