This contract role is tailored for experienced RNs specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVICU) who thrive in fast-paced settings and are passionate about making a difference.

Schedule and Hours:

  • 36 hours per week
  • Night shifts: 7:00pm – 7:30am
  • Every other weekend required
  • Rotating holiday assignments
  • Must be comfortable floating between CVICU and ICU

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of one year CVICU nursing experience (required)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to complex cardiovascular and ICU patients
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, comprehensive nursing care to adults with acute and complex cardiac conditions
  • Monitor, interpret, and document vital signs, hemodynamic data, and cardiac rhythms
  • Administer medications and manage advanced therapies, including titration of critical care drips
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Advocate for patients and families, offering education and emotional support
  • Float between CVICU and general ICU to ensure high-quality care across critical care units
