Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position with variable shifts based on facility needs
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of one year recent CVICU experience required
- Advanced knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac medication administration, and post-operative cardiac patient care
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor critically ill cardiovascular patients and respond to acute changes with appropriate interventions
- Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage life support equipment including ventilators, balloon pumps, or other specialized devices
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and daily care plans tailored to each patient’s needs
- Document patient progress, care interventions, and outcomes with accuracy and attention to detail
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery processes and post-hospital care
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
