Registered Nurse - CVICU (Cardiovascular ICU) in Lincoln, IL

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract position with variable shifts based on facility needs

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of one year recent CVICU experience required
• Advanced knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac medication administration, and post-operative cardiac patient care
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor critically ill cardiovascular patients and respond to acute changes with appropriate interventions
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage life support equipment including ventilators, balloon pumps, or other specialized devices
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and daily care plans tailored to each patient’s needs
• Document patient progress, care interventions, and outcomes with accuracy and attention to detail
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding recovery processes and post-hospital care
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
