An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in CVICU care to make a difference within a dynamic healthcare environment. Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent CVICU nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to respond to rapidly changing patient conditions with calm efficiency
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-acuity, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill cardiac and vascular patients
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data, cardiac rhythms, and vital signs
- Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage advanced cardiac devices as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied health staff to create and implement individualized patient care plans
- Advocate for patients and families, offering education and emotional support throughout the care continuum
- Maintain accurate charting and documentation in compliance with facility protocols and legal requirements
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and ethical standards at all times
