Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Registered Nurse in Mashpee, MA

A highly skilled critical care nurse is sought for an assignment focused on intensive cardiovascular care. This opportunity involves supporting both Cardiovascular ICU and general ICU patients, working with a collaborative team that values clinical expertise and adaptability. Schedule/Hours:

• 36 hours per week
• Night shifts: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• Every other weekend
• Rotating holidays

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of one year of recent CVICU experience required
• Competency and confidence to float between CVICU and general ICU
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to respond effectively to rapidly changing conditions
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
• Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-acuity nursing care to CVICU and ICU patients
• Monitor cardiac and other critical vital signs, manage hemodynamic drips, and respond to emergent situations
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with physicians and support staff
• Float between CVICU and ICU settings as needed based on patient volume and acuity
• Adhere to the highest standards of infection control and patient safety
• Educate patients and families regarding conditions and care plans
