A demanding role is available for a registered nurse with specialized experience in cardiovascular intensive care. This contract position is based in Mooresville, NC, and offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic region serving multiple healthcare facilities. Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Registered Nurse licensure with at least 2 years of critical care experience preferred
• Certified in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Proficiency managing vasoactive medications, ventilators, CRRT, and invasive lines such as arterial lines, PA catheters, and transvenous pacemakers
• Experience with cardiovascular surgical patients including post-CABG, valve surgeries, and thoracic procedures
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced ICU setting with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1
• Ability to float across multiple regional hospitals as needed within scope of practice

Location and Setting: This opportunity is centered in Mooresville, NC, enabling nurses to engage with a variety of specialties covering trauma, stroke, chest pain, and bariatrics at a comprehensive teaching hospital. The work environment includes 14 private ICU rooms with advanced technology such as Epic EMR, Philips monitors, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert cardiovascular ICU nursing care around the clock, primarily on night shifts (1900–0700), with every other weekend and 75% holiday rotation
• Collaborate with intensivists and multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Manage advanced cardiovascular support devices including IABP and Impella
• Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and float across designated regional facilities as required
