Registered Nurse - CVICU - New Iberia, Louisiana

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and valid RN license
• Minimum of one year experience in a CVICU or similar critical care environment
• Advanced knowledge of cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, and emergency interventions
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert nursing care to adult patients with complex cardiovascular conditions
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and implement advanced life-saving interventions as needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop individualized care plans
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies and rapid changes in patient status
• Provide patient and family education on conditions, procedures, and recovery processes
• Maintain meticulous and accurate patient records in accordance with hospital policies
• Adhere to best practices and CVICU protocols ensuring safety and quality standards are met
