(RN) Registered Nurse - CVICU | New Port Richey, Florida

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in a CVICU setting
• Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, advanced cardiac life support, and post-surgical care
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and adapt to rapidly changing situations
• Proficient communication and teamwork abilities

Schedule:

• Shifts and hours will be discussed during the interview process, according to the unit's needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage patients with acute cardiac and vascular conditions
• Administer and titrate cardiac medications and IV infusions
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitors
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other clinical personnel on care plans and patient progress
• Provide clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
• Accurately document patient care and responses in electronic medical records
• Participate in code response and rapid response calls as required
• Uphold strict infection control and patient safety standards at all times
