Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with strong experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVICU) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing to provide exceptional patient care in a specialized critical care environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team focused on excellence and compassionate care for cardiac patients.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent hands-on experience in a Cardiac Intensive Care setting (CICU/CVICU or similar)
- Strong knowledge of advanced cardiac patient management, cardiac monitoring, and critical drips
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement care for high-acuity cardiac patients
- Comfortable working in a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio environment
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care to critically ill cardiac patients utilizing advanced ICU protocols
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, initiate clinical interventions, and adjust care based on changing patient needs
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor cardiac status, interpret telemetry and other cardiac assessments, and respond promptly to emergent situations
- Maintain up-to-date documentation in accordance with facility protocols and standards
