Deliver specialized care as a Registered Nurse within the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) on a contract assignment. This critical care opportunity requires strong clinical judgment and a passion for supporting cardiac patients through complex procedures and recovery phases.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid RN license
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on cardiac nursing experience, preferably in a CVICU or similar critical care setting
- Demonstrated expertise in monitoring, managing, and caring for patients with advanced cardiac conditions
- Familiarity with evidence-based cardiac interventions, ventilator management, and titration of critical care medications
- Ability to maintain a patient ratio of 1:2 and prioritize care in a dynamic environment
- Effective communication skills, strong attention to detail, and collaborative mindset with interdisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients in a high-acuity CVICU environment
- Monitor vital signs, interpret cardiac rhythms, and ensure prompt response to patient condition changes
- Administer medications, manage drips, and provide post-operative care as needed
- Document patient progress and care interventions accurately in medical records
- Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practitioners, and fellow nurses to create effective care plans
- Educate patients and families on condition management, treatments, and recovery processes
- Uphold stringent safety and infection control standards in all aspects of care
