Registered Nurse - CVICU (Cardiovascular ICU) in Portsmouth, VA

Ideal candidates will bring:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Current experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) or similar critical care environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in monitoring, assessing, and intervening with patients needing advanced cardiac support
• Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities, especially in high-acuity scenarios
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute cardiovascular conditions, including those with mechanical circulatory support devices
• Continuously monitoring cardiac status, vital signs, and hemodynamics
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and titrating drips as ordered
• Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor individualized care plans
• Documenting accurately and thoroughly within electronic medical records
• Providing emotional support to patients and families during critical healthcare events

$2,211 - $2,419/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
