(RN) Registered Nurse - CVICU | Rochester, Illinois

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Recent experience in a CVICU or highly acute cardiovascular critical care setting
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to respond quickly in emergent situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficient in managing complex cardiovascular equipment, including ventilators and monitoring devices
• Experience with post-operative cardiac and vascular patient care strongly preferred

Schedule:

• Contract-based assignment
• Hours and shift details will be shared during the interview process

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and comprehensive patient care to critically ill cardiovascular patients
• Continuously monitor patients’ cardiac status, interpret data, and promptly respond to any changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV infusions, and advanced cardiovascular therapies as prescribed
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and their families during difficult times
