Desired Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of one year recent experience in a CVICU or similar high-acuity cardiac setting
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care to adult cardiovascular patients, including those requiring advanced monitoring and interventions
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic parameters
- Administer and titrate critical medications, including vasoactive drips
- Assist with procedures such as cardioversions, ventilator management, and cardiac catheterizations
- Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, and the broader clinical team to optimize patient outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the medical record
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, recovery, and care expectations
- Uphold infection control, patient safety, and quality care standards at all times
