Registered Nurse - CVICU (Cardiovascular ICU) in Rochester, IL

Desired Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in a CVICU or similar high-acuity cardiac setting
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care to adult cardiovascular patients, including those requiring advanced monitoring and interventions
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic parameters
• Administer and titrate critical medications, including vasoactive drips
• Assist with procedures such as cardioversions, ventilator management, and cardiac catheterizations
• Collaborate with cardiologists, intensivists, and the broader clinical team to optimize patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, recovery, and care expectations
• Uphold infection control, patient safety, and quality care standards at all times
