Key Requirements:
- Schedule: Adheres to a 75-mile radius rule.
- Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in a Cardiothoracic ICU setting.
- Experience managing fresh open-heart surgery patients is essential.
- Current, unencumbered RN license.
- Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system required.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients, including postoperative cardiac surgery patients, those experiencing cardiogenic shock, and individuals with abdominal aortic aneurysms.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and interpret patient data, promptly recognizing and responding to changes in clinical status.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure adherence to hospital policies and evidence-based best practices.
- Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to support optimal outcomes.
