Registered Nurse - CVICU (Cardiovascular ICU) in Rome, NY

Key Requirements:

• Schedule: Adheres to a 75-mile radius rule.
• Must have at least 2 years of recent experience in a Cardiothoracic ICU setting.
• Experience managing fresh open-heart surgery patients is essential.
• Current, unencumbered RN license.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system required.

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients, including postoperative cardiac surgery patients, those experiencing cardiogenic shock, and individuals with abdominal aortic aneurysms.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor and interpret patient data, promptly recognizing and responding to changes in clinical status.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure adherence to hospital policies and evidence-based best practices.
• Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to support optimal outcomes.
