Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Registered Nurse in Salt Lake City, UT

Provide advanced cardiac and critical care nursing in a dynamic ICU setting with a focus on complex cardiovascular patients. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in a 24-bed ICU specializing in cardiovascular cases, maintaining patient ratios of 1:2 or better
• Perform complex procedures including rapid sequence intubations, central line and arterial line placements, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, and ventilator management
• Manage vasoactive medications and monitor patients on advanced support such as IABP, CRRT, and open-heart recovery
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimize patient outcomes
• Utilize EPIC electronic health record system for accurate and timely documentation
• Flexibly support patient care needs by floating to PCU or hospital-wide assignments as needed

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Utah RN license at time of application (required)
• Minimum of 2 years ICU nursing experience; 1 year of strong experience considered
• Proven cardiac nursing expertise with familiarity in advanced ICU interventions
• ACLS certification required
• Strong team orientation with excellent communication skills
• Comfortable working night shifts; schedule includes straight nights or a 50/50 night/day rotation

Schedule and Additional Requirements:

• Commitment includes 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week period
• Professional attire includes Caribbean blue scrubs
• On-call responsibilities may apply
• Availability to float as needed within cardiac and intermediate care units
