Registered Nurse - CVICU (Cardiovascular ICU) in Springfield, IL

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with unrestricted status
• Prior experience in a CVICU or similar critical care setting required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
• Ability to respond quickly to emergent situations and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Strong assessment, documentation, and care coordination skills
• Familiarity with cutting-edge monitoring systems and life support equipment

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage care for critically ill cardiac patients, including assessment, medication administration, and intervention
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans
• Operate advanced cardiovascular equipment and monitor patient vital signs, responding promptly to changes in condition
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and progress, providing emotional support as needed
• Maintain meticulous records, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and hospital standards
• Uphold strict infection control practices and participate in continuous improvement initiatives for patient safety and quality care
