Qualifications:
- Active RN license with unrestricted status
- Prior experience in a CVICU or similar critical care setting required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
- Ability to respond quickly to emergent situations and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong assessment, documentation, and care coordination skills
- Familiarity with cutting-edge monitoring systems and life support equipment
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage care for critically ill cardiac patients, including assessment, medication administration, and intervention
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans
- Operate advanced cardiovascular equipment and monitor patient vital signs, responding promptly to changes in condition
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and progress, providing emotional support as needed
- Maintain meticulous records, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and hospital standards
- Uphold strict infection control practices and participate in continuous improvement initiatives for patient safety and quality care
