Registered Nurse - CVICU - Taylorville, Illinois

Experienced registered nurses passionate about cardiovascular intensive care are invited to apply for an impactful role specializing in the care and management of critically ill cardiac and vascular patients. Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with eligibility to practice in the state
• Recent experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular disease processes and ICU protocols
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring equipment, ventilators, and critical care medication administration
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Effective communicator, capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to delivering patient-centered care and maintaining patient confidentiality

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including pre- and post-operative care
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and overall patient status
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiovascular surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and manage intravenous lines following safety protocols
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, treatment plans, and ongoing care needs
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly
• Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a safe, supportive environment for patients
