Schedule/Hours:
- Contract-based position with scheduled shifts as determined by facility needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and unrestricted RN license.
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience working in a CVICU or comparable critical care setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong assessment, clinical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in managing cardiovascular drips, monitoring invasive lines, and utilizing advanced life support equipment.
- Ability to thrive in high-acuity, fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor medications, drips, and advanced cardiovascular therapies.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of critical care patients, promptly recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac status.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other nursing staff.
- Maintain comprehensive, accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
- Educate and support patients and their families through critical illness and recovery processes.
- Adhere to established protocols and foster a culture of safety and respect.
