Step into a vital nursing role delivering high-acuity care in a Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit setting. We are seeking an experienced RN with a strong background in CVICU, particularly managing patients immediately following cardiothoracic surgery. This opportunity focuses on providing expert clinical support to a six-bed CTICU that sees complex cardiovascular surgical cases and acute diagnoses such as cardiogenic shock and abdominal aortic aneurysms.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with at least 2 years of recent CVICU experience.
  • Specialized experience with fresh post-op cardiothoracic surgical patients is essential.
  • Certification in ACLS and BLS required.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification mandatory.
  • Proficiency using EPIC electronic health records.
  • Must comply with the 75-mile radius rule.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care for post-operative and critically ill cardiovascular patients.
  • Utilize hemodynamic monitoring and manage advanced cardiac life support protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with cardiology, surgery, and multidisciplinary care teams.
  • Implement timely interventions for complex cardiovascular conditions such as cardiogenic shock and AAA.
  • Adhere to strict safety and quality standards for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in EPIC.
