CVOR Registered Nurse - Acton, California

Embark on an impactful assignment as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse in a high-acuity surgical environment. This travel contract offers the opportunity to collaborate with a skilled interdisciplinary surgical team and work with advanced technology to optimize patient care. You will contribute your expertise during complex cardiovascular procedures and play a vital role in positive patient outcomes.

Schedule & Hours:

• 4×10-hour shifts weekly (GWW 40)
• Day shifts with varied start times
• Weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotation required
• Minimum of 14 call shifts during assignment
• 13-week contract duration
• Immediate start available

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted California RN license
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS; required annually)
• At least 2 years of recent experience in CVOR nursing
• Minimum 1 year of travel RN experience
• Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic OR setting and prioritize patient safety

Primary Responsibilities:

• Circulate and scrub for cardiovascular surgical procedures in the operating room
• Collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesia, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal intraoperative care
• Safeguard sterile technique and maintain accurate intraoperative documentation
• Effectively communicate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Participate in required call rotations—including weekends and holidays—to provide critical surgical coverage
