An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse to support surgical teams on a travel contract. This position is tailored for experienced nurses ready to step into a dynamic environment, providing high-quality perioperative care. The assignment runs for 13 weeks, with immediate start availability.
Schedule:
- 4x10-hour shifts (GWW 40)
- Day shifts with varied scheduling
- Participation in a call rotation (including weekdays, weekends, and holidays)
- Minimum of 14 call shifts during the contract period
Qualifications:
- Active California RN license
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (annual renewal as required)
- At least 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience
- Minimum of 1 year in a travel RN role
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients before, during, and after procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and allied staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain and operate advanced CVOR equipment; anticipate procedures and needs within a fast-paced setting
- Adhere to strict protocols for infection control and patient safety
- Flexibly address on-call demands, supporting teams during urgent and scheduled cases
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals
