CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating room - Acton, California

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse to support surgical teams on a travel contract. This position is tailored for experienced nurses ready to step into a dynamic environment, providing high-quality perioperative care. The assignment runs for 13 weeks, with immediate start availability.

Schedule:

• 4x10-hour shifts (GWW 40)
• Day shifts with varied scheduling
• Participation in a call rotation (including weekdays, weekends, and holidays)
• Minimum of 14 call shifts during the contract period

Qualifications:

• Active California RN license
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (annual renewal as required)
• At least 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience
• Minimum of 1 year in a travel RN role

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients before, during, and after procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and allied staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain and operate advanced CVOR equipment; anticipate procedures and needs within a fast-paced setting
• Adhere to strict protocols for infection control and patient safety
• Flexibly address on-call demands, supporting teams during urgent and scheduled cases
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals
