CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating room | Acton, California

This contract position offers valuable clinical experience within a dedicated perioperative environment, working alongside skilled surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal cardiovascular surgical services.

Schedule:

• 4×10-hour shifts per week (total 40 hours)
• Day shifts with varied start times
• 13-week commitment, starting 10/19/2026

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted California RN license
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (with annual renewal required)
• At least 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a travel RN in the CVOR specialty

Role Expectations:

• Circulate and/or scrub for complex cardiovascular cases, ensuring patient safety and support throughout operative procedures
• Coordinate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other personnel to facilitate efficient workflow
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, documentation, and hospital protocols
• Participate in call rotation—including weekdays, weekends, and holidays—as scheduled by the department
• Monitor and respond to dynamic patient conditions, utilizing advanced clinical knowledge and critical thinking
• Support orientation of new staff and contribute to quality improvement initiatives when required
