Schedule/Hours:
- 5 x 8-hour shifts per week (total 40 hours)
- Hours vary: 6:30am–3:00pm or 10:45am–7:00pm
- Monday through Friday schedule
- On-call duties 2–3 days per week, including every other weekend
Qualifications:
- Active RN license (state-issued, current and valid)
- BLS and ACLS certification (current)
- At least 3 years of dedicated CVOR nursing experience
- Experience within acute care hospital settings required
- Hands-on experience with DaVinci XI robotic surgical technology highly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients during cardiovascular surgeries, collaborating closely with the surgical and anesthesia teams
- Prepare, assess, and maintain the CVOR operating environment, prioritizing patient safety and infection control
- Anticipate surgical team needs, ensuring readiness of instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Respond efficiently to emergent situations during procedures and while on call
- Assist with patient assessments, documentation, and support throughout the perioperative process
- Adhere to hospital policies, best practice protocols, and regulatory requirements
