CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN) in Antioch, TN

Experienced cardiovascular operating room nurses with a passion for advanced cardiac care are invited to take on a dynamic contract opportunity. Work in a large, high-acuity environment at a 1000+ bed acute care facility featuring a 56-bed operating suite and five procedural areas. This position cares for an exclusively adult population undergoing complex procedures such as CABG, valve repairs, transplants, VAD, ECMO, and more. As part of a dedicated surgical team, you will be vital to both scrubbing and circulating during cardiac surgeries.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Call required; variable call schedules, including three layers of call, rotate every six weeks (unit cannot accommodate block scheduling)
• Orientation dates available: 6/22, 6/29, 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27 (no orientation the weeks of 6/8 or 6/15)

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years recent CVOR operating room experience
• Prior travel nursing background required
• Demonstrated ability to scrub and circulate for cardiac surgical cases
• Capable of managing critical situations in a Level 1 trauma setting
• Comfortable floating between operating rooms within the facility
• Must be willing to take call assignments as scheduled

Responsibilities:

• Provide perioperative patient care for advanced cardiac surgeries
• Scrub and circulate on a full range of complex adult cardiac procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgical and anesthesia teams to support optimal outcomes
• Adhere to all policies governing Level 1 trauma patient management
• Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to a safe, positive OR environment
