Schedule/Hours:

• Travel position; variable shifts based on surgical schedules

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum one year recent experience as a CVOR RN
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
• Proficiency in scrubbing, circulating, and assisting in complex cardiovascular procedures
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Flexibility to adapt quickly to new environments and teams

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiovascular surgery
• Scrub and circulate for a variety of complex cardiac and vascular cases
• Maintain strict adherence to surgical asepsis and infection control protocols
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Monitor and document patient status; anticipate needs during procedures
• Assist with setup, breakdown, and management of surgical instruments and equipment
• Support patient and family education throughout the surgical process
