CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating room | Bear, Delaware

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license (unencumbered)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience in an acute care setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular surgical procedures and protocols
• Demonstrated ability to respond effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and collaborative teamwork skills
• BSN preferred but not mandatory

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time hours; specific shift schedule to be discussed during interview
• Flexible scheduling may be available, depending on operational needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Circulate and/or scrub for major cardiovascular surgeries, providing direct and compassionate patient care
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgical procedures, recognizing and reporting changes promptly
• Prepare the CVOR with sterile instruments and necessary supplies
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other staff to ensure optimal outcomes and patient safety
• Maintain meticulous documentation of intraoperative and post-operative care
• Adhere strictly to infection control and safety policies
• Assist in developing and educating staff on CVOR protocols as required
