CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating room | Charleston, South Carolina

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license (unencumbered and valid in SC or compact state)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a CVOR RN
• Advanced understanding of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, and cardiovascular procedures
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to perform under pressure
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Schedule:

• Contracted assignment (details provided in interview)
• Variable shift availability required, with potential for on-call rotation

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular OR
• Assist with pre-operative, intra-operative, and immediate post-operative patient management
• Advocate for patient safety and infection control during and after surgical procedures
• Work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and fellow nursing staff to ensure seamless, patient-centered care
• Maintain and monitor surgical equipment and instruments for functionality and sterility
• Accurately document surgical procedures, interventions, and patient responses
