In this travel role, you'll join a forward-thinking surgical team that treats complex cardiovascular cases using cutting-edge technology, such as EPIC and Omnicell. Schedule / Hours:
- Two 10-hour shifts per week
- On-call up to 7 days per four-week schedule, including one full weekend
- 13-week assignment
Qualifications:
- Active New York State RN license
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an associate's degree or higher
- Minimum one year of CVOR nursing experience
- Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
- Comfortable floating to other units if census is low
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care to adult CVOR patients (common diagnoses include CAD, AS, MR)
- Manage 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratios in a focused 2-bed surgical unit
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal surgical outcomes
- Utilize EPIC for electronic documentation and Omnicell for medication management
- Adapt to varying unit needs and participate in flexible scheduling
