CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN) in Deatsville, AL

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license with no restrictions
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing in cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and infection prevention
• Exceptional critical thinking and effective communication skills
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-acuity OR setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the surgical team throughout cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and sterile field maintenance
• Monitor patient condition and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists
• Anticipate instrumentation and supply needs during surgeries
• Implement and document nursing interventions according to hospital standards and protocols
• Assess patient responses and update care plans as needed
• Advocate for patient needs and comfort before, during, and after procedures
