Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent Cardiac OR experience, specifically with heart and lung transplants
• Proficiency in CVOR nursing practices and sterile techniques
• Ability to scrub is highly desirable
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills
• BLS and ACLS certifications required

Responsibilities

• Circulate and, ideally, scrub in cardiac surgery cases, with a primary focus on heart and lung transplants
• Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, and anesthesiologists throughout all stages of surgery
• Administer medications, monitor hemodynamics, and manage complex equipment
• Ensure patient safety and uphold surgical asepsis at all times
• Support postoperative care and patient transition to ICU
