CVOR Registered Nurse - Fort Myers, Florida

Key Qualifications:

• Current and active RN license
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a CVOR setting
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in high-acuity surgical environments
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
• Familiarity with a range of CVOR procedures and protocols
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient care
• Monitor patients’ status throughout procedures, promptly recognizing and responding to changes
• Administer medications, manage drips, and assist with equipment during cases
• Document all aspects of care according to facility and regulatory standards
• Participate in pre-operative assessments and post-operative care planning
• Adhere to strict infection control guidelines and maintain a safe environment
