Key Qualifications:
- Current and active RN license
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a CVOR setting
- Current certifications in BLS and ACLS
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in high-acuity surgical environments
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
- Familiarity with a range of CVOR procedures and protocols
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient care
- Monitor patients’ status throughout procedures, promptly recognizing and responding to changes
- Administer medications, manage drips, and assist with equipment during cases
- Document all aspects of care according to facility and regulatory standards
- Participate in pre-operative assessments and post-operative care planning
- Adhere to strict infection control guidelines and maintain a safe environment
