Experienced CVOR Registered Nurses are sought for a dynamic cardiovascular operating room covering adult cardiac cases in a high-acuity environment. This is an opportunity to engage with cutting-edge surgical teams at a Level 1 trauma center supporting one of the nation’s largest hospitals, with a 56-bed OR servicing both inpatient and outpatient populations.
Schedule & Hours:
- 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (7:00am – 7:00pm)
- Days will vary based on unit needs; block schedules cannot be accommodated
- Required to participate in call rotation (multiple call layers, including 24/7 coverage and requirements that fluctuate every six weeks)
- Orientation dates available: 6/29, 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27
Qualifications:
- Active RN licensure in good standing
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a CVOR RN in a high-acuity cardiac OR setting
- Proven ability to independently scrub and circulate on advanced cardiac surgical procedures
- Documented prior travel assignment(s) in a related capacity
- Experience with complex adult cardiac populations including CABG, repeat valve and cardiac procedures, ECMO, VAD, transplants, and major cardiac trauma
- Confident managing responsibilities in fast-paced Level 1 trauma and transplant environments
- Ability to float between operating rooms as needed (within the same campus; no location changes)
- Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to fulfill all call requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Scrub and circulate cardiac surgical procedures for adult patients (e.g., CABG, valve repairs, ECMO, VAD, heart and lung transplants)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of high-quality care
- Respond efficiently to urgent and emergent surgical situations, including cardiac trauma and transplants
- Maintain strict adherence to facility protocols and documentation standards
