Key Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted RN license required.
• Minimum of two years’ recent experience in a CVOR setting.
• Proficient in perioperative nursing, with a strong understanding of cardiovascular surgical protocols.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt in dynamic surgical environments.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with physicians, surgical staff, and patients’ families.
• Familiar with the use and care of specialty CVOR instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver hands-on nursing care to each patient before, during, and after cardiovascular surgery.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams by maintaining a sterile field and providing critical intraoperative support.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient vital signs, and anticipate surgeons’ needs throughout procedures.
• Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in patient records.
• Ensure proper instrumentation and equipment are available and functioning for every case.
• Adhere to strict safety standards and infection control policies in the OR.
• Provide compassionate education and reassurance to patients and families regarding procedures and post-op expectations.

$2,372 - $2,509/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
