Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Demonstrated experience in CVOR settings
- Thorough understanding of perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique
- Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
- Skilled in independent and delegated medical functions within scope of licensing and facility protocols
- Strong communication and documentation skills, aligned with hospital and regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional direct care and support to cardiovascular surgical patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Independently and accurately assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases
- Execute delegated medical functions and interventions with precision
- Conduct ongoing evaluations of patient health status via continuous data collection and clinical assessments
- Provide patient and family education, health teaching, and counseling tailored to individual needs
- Oversee therapy and treatment plans, making referrals for further evaluation or treatment as needed
- Utilize available resources for optimal patient outcomes
- Adhere strictly to hospital mission, values, policies, and service behavior standards
- Document all care in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Float to other departments within competency as business needs arise
- Participate in on-call rotations as required during regular shifts
