Step into a dynamic, highly specialized cardiac surgery environment supporting a Level 1 trauma center with a renowned surgical team. This contract nursing opportunity requires expertise in both scrubbing and circulating cardiac surgeries, ideally suited for seasoned CVOR RNs ready to make an impact in a large surgical unit.
Schedule & Shifts
- 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Days of the week may vary according to departmental needs
- Required to participate in call rotation (3 layers of call, 24/7, with requirements varying every 6 weeks)
- Multiple orientation start dates available: 6/29, 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27
Qualifications
- Current RN license with at least 2 years of recent CVOR experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Proficient in both scrubbing and circulating for cardiac procedures
- Expertise with complex surgeries: CABG, valve, repeat cardiac, heart failure, ECMO, VAD, heart/lung transplants, PTE, cardiac trauma, and adult congenital cases
- Comfortable working exclusively with adult populations (no peds)
- Strong adaptability to float within the OR setting as needed (not across locations)
- Willingness to fulfill all call obligations

- Scrub and circulate for advanced cardiac surgeries
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both inpatient and outpatient surgical settings
- Deliver high-level, compassionate care to adult cardiac patients
- Respond efficiently to call and emergency requirements as scheduled
- Adhere to strict protocols in a fast-paced Level 1 trauma environment
