Advance your career in cardiac surgical nursing by supporting high-quality patient care in a dynamic cardiovascular operating room environment. This contract role is ideally suited for Registered Nurses (RN) with specialized experience in CVOR settings and a strong commitment to collaborative perioperative care.

Schedule/Hours

  • 12-hour day shifts (36 hours per week)
  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

On Call & Holiday Rotation

  • 4-5 weeknight call shifts required in each 6-week period
  • 1-2 weekend calls per 6-week schedule (weekend rotation typically for call only)
  • Participation in holiday call or scheduling per rotation

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license, eligible to practice
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a CVOR RN
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Proven knowledge of cardiac surgical procedures and sterile technique
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced surgical environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to patients before, during, and after cardiovascular surgeries in the operating room
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists for optimal patient outcomes
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety standards in all CVOR activities
  • Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and promptly
  • Participate actively in emergency situations and respond efficiently in both routine and high-acuity scenarios
  • Take part in scheduled and holiday call rotations

$2,178 - $2,304/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
