CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating room - Irving, Texas

Advance your perioperative nursing career with the opportunity to specialize in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing. This contract role places you at the heart of high-acuity surgical care in a dynamic 10-operating room environment. Day and night shift positions are available, each requiring clinical expertise and adaptability in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Schedule/Hours:

• Day and night shifts available
• Call requirement: 4–6 shifts per month
• Weekend and call shift participation as scheduled

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Completion of PeriOp 101
• Recent experience in CVOR, with a strong background in orthopedic and trauma surgical cases
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to excel under pressure
• Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality intraoperative patient care in CVOR, specializing in cardiovascular, orthopedic, and trauma procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain a sterile field and strictly adhere to infection prevention protocols
• Accurately document all patient care in EMR systems
• Respond promptly to emergent situations with composure and clinical expertise
• Participate in on-call rotation and weekend coverage as assigned
