An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with specialized experience in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This role offers the chance to join a dedicated surgical team and contribute expertise in a high-acuity setting. The assignment is 13 weeks in duration, with an immediate start date preferred.

Schedule & Hours:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week (GWW 40)
  • Day shifts with varied hours
  • Includes participation in weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotation (minimum of 14 call shifts required)

Qualifications:

  • Active California RN license in good standing
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (annual renewal required)
  • At least 2 years of recent experience in a CVOR setting
  • Minimum of 1 year of travel RN experience
  • Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and/or scrub in complex cardiovascular cases including open heart and vascular procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Adhere to evidence-based practices and infection control protocols at all times
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Respond appropriately to emergent situations and participate actively in multidisciplinary care planning
