A rewarding contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care. This position supports a dynamic surgical team, providing expert nursing support for cardiovascular surgeries.

Schedule & Hours:

  • 4x10-hour shifts per week (GWW 40)
  • Day shifts, varied throughout the contract
  • 13-week duration
  • Start date: ASAP

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active and unrestricted California RN license
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (with annual renewal required)
  • At least 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience
  • Minimum 1 year of travel RN experience
  • Ability to participate in weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotations
  • Willingness and availability for a minimum of 14 call shifts during the assignment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons and surgical staff with preparation, procedures, and post-operative care in the CVOR
  • Monitor patient status, anticipate critical situations, and respond proactively to clinical needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to infection control protocols
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment to support positive outcomes for patients
  • Participate in call rotations, providing rapid, skilled coverage as necessary
