Seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse with a specialty in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care for a dynamic travel contract opportunity. This position calls for motivated nursing professionals who thrive in fast-paced surgical environments, ensuring optimal patient outcomes throughout every phase of cardiovascular procedures.

Schedule:

  • 4×10-hour shifts per week (GWW 40)
  • Day shifts with varied start times
  • Rotational call coverage, including weekday, weekend, and holiday assignments
  • Minimum of 14 call shifts required during contract

Key Qualifications:

  • Active California RN license in good standing
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (with annual renewal as required)
  • At least 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a travel RN

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert nursing care for cardiovascular operating room patients, adhering to evidence-based practices and safety protocols
  • Support the surgical team by anticipating procedure needs and ensuring all equipment, instruments, and supplies are prepared and maintained
  • Continually monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in clinical condition
  • Facilitate patient and family education throughout the perioperative period
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, participating in call rotations and adapting to a variety of surgical case complexities
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with hospital standards
