Step into a high-impact surgical nursing environment as an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) care. This contract position offers an immediate start for a dedicated RN with advanced CVOR expertise who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes.

Schedule & Duration:

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week (GWW 40)
  • Day shifts with varied start times
  • 13-week assignment
  • Participation in weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotation (minimum 14 call shifts required)

Qualifications:

  • Active California RN license
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (annual renewal required for NIHSS by certain employers)
  • At least 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a travel RN in a similar setting

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver advanced perioperative nursing care to cardiovascular surgical patients
  • Scrub and/or circulate for complex cardiac procedures
  • Maintain a sterile and safe environment in the CVOR
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams before, during, and after surgeries
  • Respond quickly and competently to emergent situations
  • Document all aspects of nursing care accurately and promptly
  • Participate in call rotations as scheduled, ensuring high-quality coverage at all times
