CVOR Registered Nurse - Operating room | Littlerock, California

A skilled Registered Nurse with strong cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) experience is needed for a 13-week contract assignment. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic perioperative environment, utilizing advanced clinical expertise and supporting complex cardiovascular surgical procedures. The assignment starts on 10/19/2026.

Schedule & Hours

• 4×10-hour shifts per week (GWW 40)
• Day shifts, varied
• Call rotation required: weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications & Experience

• Current and unrestricted California RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (annual renewal required)
• Minimum of 2 years current CVOR RN experience
• At least 1 year of prior travel RN experience
• Excellent communication and perioperative teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and detail-oriented during high-acuity procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in the CVOR, assisting with cardiovascular surgeries
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs for optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor and document all aspects of patient intraoperative care
• Anticipate and respond confidently to changes in patient condition
• Uphold strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols
• Participate in call rotation as assigned, including weekends and holidays
• Engage in continuous quality improvement and compliance initiatives
