Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Significant experience with cardiovascular operating room procedures, specifically heart and lung transplantation
• Proficiency in circulating; the ability to scrub is highly advantageous
• Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills
• Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care with an emphasis on cardiac transplant recipients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support complex cases from admission through post-op
• Circulate—and if eligible, scrub—in cardiovascular surgeries, maintaining strict sterility protocols
• Respond promptly to intraoperative changes, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Participate in regular on-call rotations as needed
