CVOR Registered Nurse - Millbrook, Alabama

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Proficient in scrubbing and circulating CVOR procedures
• Strong attention to detail and adaptability during complex surgeries
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
• Ability to thrive in a high-acuity environment and respond calmly under pressure

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care throughout the perioperative process for cardiovascular surgical cases
• Assist surgeons by circulating and/or scrubbing during operative procedures
• Monitor patient status and vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the surgical team
• Maintain a sterile field and follow all infection control standards meticulously
• Prepare, select, and handle surgical instruments and supplies efficiently
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal surgical outcomes
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and timely in medical records
• Aid in patient advocacy, safety checks, and compliance with hospital protocols
